Food Stamp Employment & Training (SNAP)

UFC's SNAP Program offers opportunities to gain experience and earn cash assistance. 

Participants of this program are provided:

  • Transportation or special clothing 
  • Job bank book with current employment opportunities.
     

In order to take part in the program participants must work off the value of their food stamp benefitor federal minimum wage, whichever is higher, before working additional hours in order to earn cash assistance, up to a maximum of $294 per month.  Each participant is required to take a 5 day customer service training upon entering the program, as well as, academic testing. Referrals are only accepted from the Illinois Department of Human Services.
