SERVICES PROVIDED:

Universal Family Connection is an approved Violence Prevention Provider by IDHS, and currently works with five service providers to administer Violence Prevention Services. This program is certified by Reimagine Public Safety Act (RPSA) and UFC has been accredited by the National Council of Accreditation for 25 years, receiving our latest COA Re-Accreditation Certificate in August, 2023 for four more years. Our training manual for RPSA Violence Prevention Organizations follows the support for Frontline Violence Intervention Workers, with the current focus on the type of training necessary for Frontline Workers who perform function that include:

4. Case Management

5. Victim Advocacy Services

Proper training is required to keep your case workers from being overwhelmed by constant exposure to incidents and victims of violence. For Violence Prevention Services, for example, UFC will use all stories, resources, approaches and contacts to ensure that trainings are infused with Racial Equity and Linguistically and Culturally responsive principles and practices. In addition, Racial Equity Training, Implicit Bias Training and Culturally Responsive Evaluation Training is included with ALL training services to RPSA Violence Prevention Organizations.
